BAM Construction is recruiting a Building Services Electrical Engineer to ensure continuity of engineering processes on current and future projects. This role will be based in Leeds.

Your mission

• Tender engineering, reviewing designs, commentary, buildability studies, logistics, and planning.
• Project engineering, managing design teams for M&E (plus architecture/structures interfaces).
• Technical reviews of design requirements, systems, and equipment, ensuring specification compliance, legislative requirements, and certification schemes (e.g., BREEAM, WELL).
• Technical evaluation of manufacturers' equipment submissions prior to purchase.
• Technical evaluation of subcontractor tender offers, quality assurance, program, and logistics.
• Managing the production of coordinated installation drawings for compliance, buildability, operation, maintenance, and H&S (CDM).

Who are we looking for?

• Ideally, an engineering degree or equivalent with 5 years of experience in building services within the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and design/coordination requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and lead a small team.
• Effective workload and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other IT software (training provided).
• Management experience is beneficial.
• Enthusiastic and determined personality.
