Location: Leeds

Salary: £40,000 - £44,149 Per annum

Hours: 37 Hours per week, No weekends

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, and project management of electrical services installations for new build, maintenance, and refurbishment programmes. This may include leading projects or working as part of a larger design team.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design and manage all types of electrical services projects, including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation, and contract administration duties.
  2. Promote the use of renewable technologies.
  3. Deliver electrical projects in accordance with client briefs and professional standards.
  4. Encourage a multi-disciplinary approach to project delivery.
  5. Coordinate resources and liaise with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  6. Monitor project profitability and take corrective actions as needed.
  7. Conduct condition surveys, dilapidation surveys, or other assessments for asset management and stock condition reports.
  8. Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and valuations, providing recommendations.
  9. Serve as the main contact for electrical engineering issues for clients.
  10. Support carbon reduction strategies through efficient electrical service delivery.
  11. Maintain and develop professional standards and practices.
  12. Assist in marketing and business development efforts.
  13. Identify new business opportunities.
  14. Achieve fee earning targets (90%) and contribute to business plans.
  15. Travel to other offices and sites as required.
  16. Perform duties appropriate to the role and promote continuous improvement.
  17. Align with Norse Group’s CSR strategy.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers or working towards Chartered status.
  2. Membership of the Engineering Council.
  3. HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  4. Current site safety card or willingness to obtain one.
  5. Experience in a similar role.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  7. Knowledge of asbestos risks and relevant health and safety legislation.
