An established council is seeking a Building Services and Compliance Manager to oversee compliance and operational management of its diverse property portfolio. This vital role involves ensuring all necessary compliance certificates are maintained for mechanical and electrical systems, conducting audits, and leading decarbonisation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external consultants, fostering strong relationships to enhance property services. The Council manages an established property investment and operational portfolio, mainly consisting of industrial, office, and retail assets, valued at approximately £300 million, generating an annual rental income of over £19 million. Rental income plays a vital role in the financial sustainability of the Council, significantly exceeding income from Council Tax.
Recognizing the importance of Property and Assets within the Council, we are seeking to recruit a Building Services and Compliance Manager within the Operational Portfolio Team. This is a new, permanent position within a team of dedicated property professionals.
