Job summary

Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council is seeking a proactive Building Safety, Compliance and Assurance Co-ordinator to join the Assets and Compliance team. This role supports delivery of building safety and compliance programmes to keep homes and buildings safe, compliant, and well managed for residents and staff.

You will monitor statutory areas such as fire safety, asbestos and legionella, maintain records, produce performance data, manage enquiries, and assist with health and safety training

Qualifications

• Experience working in an administrative or co-ordination role.
• Experience providing advice or support on health and safety matters.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work on your own initiative.
• Excellent record-keeping and organisational skills.
• A positive, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety or a willingness to work towards achieving one.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and monitoring of building safety and compliance programmes.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and databases.
• Produce management information, reports, and performance data.
• Monitor compliance actions and ensuring they are progressed to completion.
• Assist with health and safety training coordination and record keeping.
• Support the preparation of reports for senior managers, elected members, and external bodies.
• Manage enquiries, correspondence, and service requests.
• Promote health and safety awareness across the organisation.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Building Safety, Compliance and Assurance Team.
