Job summary
Mott MacDonald is seeking a Building Physics specialist to join our Buildings Unit, applying advanced thermal modelling to support design across UK projects and international assignments. You will help deliver energy performance and climate resilience strategies, guiding design teams with evidence-based advice and robust modelling workflows.
The role offers a hybrid working pattern, collaborative multidisciplinary teams, and opportunities to develop expertise across SAP, PHPP, and BIM tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Building Physics or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/building-related discipline.
- Working towards MCIBSE or equivalent.
- Competency in IES VE and EDSL Tas modelling tools.
- Experience with SAP, PHPP and BIM workflows.
Responsibilities
- Perform thermal modelling of buildings to inform energy performance and climate resilience.
- Prepare qualitative assessments to guide early-stage design decisions.
- Develop parametric studies to support building stock level decisions.
- Coach and support junior team members on project delivery.
- Assist senior staff in delivering projects and preparing proposals.
- Lead programme and resource management for projects.
