Huws Gray Group in Saffron Walden is seeking a Sales Person to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, support teammates and grow sales and profitability at the local branch.

You will engage with customers, provide confident product advice, and contribute to a smooth, efficient shop floor operation while developing your knowledge of building materials and the local market.

Qualifications

• Experience in a builders’ merchant or a sales-focused role.
• Strong time keeping, organisation and clear communication.
• Experience leading or supporting a team would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Building connections – chat with customers in person or on the phone to offer confident advice.
• Creating tailored solutions – prepare quotes and follow up on enquiries to turn leads into opportunities.
• Keeping day-to-day admin running smoothly and on track.
• Offering guidance – help customers choose the right products with up-to-date knowledge.
• Enhancing the shopping experience – keep displays tidy and easy to browse.
• Collaborating – work with branch teams to get the right materials first time.
