Job summary

Macdonald & Company in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a prominent commercial property in central Liverpool. You will ensure the building is safe, compliant, well maintained and welcoming for occupiers, visitors and stakeholders.

The role is hands-on and involves managing contractors, service partners, budgets, and on-site teams, driving ESG and efficiency improvements while building strong occupier relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as Building Manager or similar role.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Strong health, safety and compliance knowledge.
• Understanding of HVAC, BMS and M&E systems.
• Experience of service charge, contract and project management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, professional and customer-focused.

Building Manager – Liverpool

We are looking for an experienced Building Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of a prominent commercial property in central Liverpool.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on role responsible for ensuring the building is safe, compliant, well maintained and welcoming, while delivering an excellent experience for occupiers, visitors and stakeholders.

Working closely with the wider property and facilities management team, you will oversee contractors and service partners, manage compliance and risk, control service charge expenditure, coordinate maintenance and improvement projects, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and ESG performance.

You will also lead and develop the on‑site team, build strong occupier relationships and play an important role in shaping the future of the property.
