Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support mechanical and electrical building services across our Coventry sites. You will help deliver projects, prepare quotations, and conduct site surveys to ensure compliance with regulations and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a Building Services or related degree, 2+ years' M&E experience, and strong MS Office skills. You will work on projects from design through delivery in a collaborative team environment in Coventry.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognised college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Building Services, M&E projects, maintenance, or design-related roles.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems and relevant industry regulations.
• Experience preparing estimates, quotations, and managing project budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, specification, and delivery of mechanical and electrical building services projects.
• Produce project estimates, costings, and formal quotations in line with operational requirements.
• Carry out site surveys and provide technical recommendations while ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and manage small work packages, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support the development of trainees and technicians where required.
