Job summary

Vertu FM is seeking a Building Maintenance / Fabric Engineer to join its mobile team in Newcastle and surrounding areas. The role covers a wide range of maintenance tasks across commercial sites with a focus on reactive and planned works.

The successful candidate will have experience across carpentry, plumbing, flooring and fabric repairs, and be comfortable working independently across a mobile retail portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience across several building maintenance trades.

• Ability to work autonomously in a mobile role.

Responsibilities

Building Maintenance / Fabric Engineer

Newcastle & Surrounding Areas Permanent, Full Time £32,092 including standby allowance + Company Vehicle + Door-to-Door Travel and Excellent Package

We are working with a reputable, fast-growing national facilities management contractor with a strong company culture and ambitious plans for continued growth.

Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a Building Maintenance / Fabric Engineer to join their mobile team, working across a commercial retail contract throughout Newcastle and the surrounding areas.

The Role

• Carry out a wide range of general building maintenance and fabric works across commercial sites.
• Complete reactive repairs and planned maintenance.
• Undertake basic plumbing, carpentry, flooring and general building repairs.
• Carry out both internal and external maintenance works.
• Work independently across a mobile retail portfolio.
• Identify faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Provide a professional service when dealing with clients and site teams.
• Complete relevant job reports and paperwork accurately.

The Person

• A strong all-round maintenance engineer with experience across several building maintenance trades.
• Previous experience in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, flooring and general fabric repairs.
• Experience working within commercial properties.
• Comfortable working independently in a mobile role.
• Flexible with travel throughout Newcastle and surrounding areas.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused.

The Package

• Salary £32,092 including standby allowance.
