Job summary

Vertu FM in London is seeking a Mobile Fabric/Building Maintenance Engineer to perform both planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites. You will travel to your assigned sites, delivering PPM and M&E tasks with autonomy.

The role requires a trade qualification and a valid UK driving licence, with a 40-hour week, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must hold a trade qualification in building maintenance, plumbing, joinery, or similar.
• Experience carrying out ppm and reactive maintenance.
• Good general knowledge of commercial maintenance.
• Local resident and willing to travel within the region.
• Good IT skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance works on commercial buildings.
• Travel to dedicated sites as the first point of contact for PPM and M&E maintenance.
• Perform fabric work, basic plumbing, carpentry, plastering, flooring and door hardware tasks.

We are working with a highly reputable and well known facilities management contractor who provide all round building maintenance to services to clients throughout the UK.

Due to continued expansion we are currently looking to recruit a mobile engineer to join the teams

Role:

• This role is carrying out a wide range of ppm and reactive maintenance works on commercial buildings.
• You'll be out and about on the road travelling to your own dedicated sites as our client's first point of call for PPM and reactive M&E and other general building services maintenance.
• Tasks could include fabric work, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, patch plastering, floor and wall coverings, changing locks etc.
• You'll enjoy working autonomously, where you will be responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance and repair work. Ideally, you will have the ability to confidently carry out a range of other tasks as well.

Person:

• You must hold a trade qualification - this could be in building maintenance, plumbing, joinery etc
• You will have experience carrying out ppm and reactive maintenance works
• You will have good general knowledge of commercial maintenance.
• You will live locally and happy to travel throughout the region
• Good IT skills
• Excellent communication skills
• You must hold a full uk driving licence

Package:

• Base salary £34271
• Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week
