Job summary

NAB-Jones Lang LaSalle Services is seeking a Building Fabric Technician in Derby to maintain and improve the structural integrity and appearance of client properties, including Rolls-Royce sites, ensuring compliance with UK safety standards.

You will perform multi-trade maintenance and collaborate with cross-functional teams while developing preventative programs to enhance property performance across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management in the UK (general building repairs i.e. basic carpentry / painting / general plumbing / tiling / plastering / grounds repairs)
• Strong knowledge of UK building materials, construction methods, and safety regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and UK-specific building management software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the structural integrity and appearance of buildings, ensuring they meet UK safety standards.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for building fabric elements.
• Carry out building repairs or maintenance projects across multi trades, ensuring compliance with UK building codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to address client concerns and improve property performance.
• Oversee contractors and vendors involved in building fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Stay updated on the latest building technologies and sustainable practices in the UK construction industry.
