Job summary

JLL is recruiting a Fabric Technician for the Derby client site (Rolls-Royce). You will maintain and improve structural integrity and aesthetics of buildings, ensuring compliance with UK safety standards.

The role involves coordinating with contractors, implementing preventative maintenance, and delivering clear condition reports. You will work 40 hours per week on-site in the Derby area, with responsibilities spanning exteriors, interiors, and fabric elements.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK building materials, construction methods, and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and UK-specific building management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of building exteriors and interiors to identify maintenance needs in line with UK regulations.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for building fabric elements, considering the UK climate.
• Manage repair and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with UK building codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to address client concerns and improve property performance.
• Prepare detailed reports on building conditions and recommend appropriate actions, adhering to UK industry standards.
• Oversee contractors and vendors involved in building fabric maintenance and repairs.
