Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Building Fabric Maintenance Handyman to join our Healthcare team at Worcester Royal Hospital. This full-time role covers planned and reactive maintenance, tiling, making good and minor installation works, with occasional work outside standard hours.

You will safely use hand and power tools, follow risk assessments and infection control procedures, and liaise with wards and colleagues to minimise disruption to patient care.

Qualifications

• Experienced in general building maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Skilled in tiling, making good and minor installation works.
• Able to use hand tools, power tools and access equipment safely.
• Familiar with risk assessments, safe working practices and infection control procedures.
• Customer focused, professional and respectful when working with hospital staff and patients.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work independently or with other trades.
• Organised and able to complete job records and paperwork accurately.
• Willing to undertake training and work outside normal hours when required.

Equans is looking for a Building Fabric Maintenance Handyman to join our Healthcare team at Worcester Royal Hospital. This is a full time role with occasional work outside normal contracted hours. On offer is a salary of up to £30,000 dependent upon skills and experience.

• Respond promptly to breakdowns while maintaining safe, clean and compliant work areas
• Liaise with wards, departments and colleagues to minimise disruption to healthcare services
