Commercial Environments in Surrey is recruiting a Building Fabric Estimator / Small Works Estimator to price projects from £1,000 to £100,000 and survey sites across SE England.

The role involves a 50/50 split between the Surrey head office and client sites, visiting pubs, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and other commercial environments to quote works including flooring, doors, painting, tiling, carpentry, plumbing, refurbishments, roofing, and brickwork.

Qualifications

• Must have driving licence with 9 points or less
• ProNett or Simpro experience advantageous

Job description

Building Fabric Estimator / Small Works Estimator | Commercial Environments | Surrey with Travel across SE England | Projects £1K - £100K values.

We are currently recruiting for a Building Fabric Estimator / Small Works Estimator to join a large, highly successful building and maintenance service provider based in Surrey.

As the Building Fabric / Small Works Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing small works projects between values of £1,000 - £100,000 values, with a large majority being minor works. Your role will be a 50/50 split (self managed) between the head office in Surrey and travelling to client sites to carry out full surveys and inspections. You will be visiting Pubs, Retail Stores, Restaurants, Gyms, Coffee Shops, Nurseries and other similar commercial use environments, recommending a wide range of works such as;

• Flooring installations / replacement, re-grouting etc.
• Installations of fire doors and fire safety assessments.
• Painting and decorating
• Tiling installation / replacement
• Carpentry and woodwork projects
• Plumbing works - installing/replacing toilets, urinals, sinks, basins etc.
• Full and minor Refurbishments.
• Roofing / ceiling emergency repairs.
• Minor brickwork repairs.
• Glass installations.

Typical projects are based on number of engineers needed, number of hours/days needed, multiplied by labour day rate + material cost + mark-up.

Minor works are required to have a fast turnaround, you will be expected to submit 5-8 quotes per day as a minimum standard via the company CAFM system (Simrpo).

Employment Package:

• Role: Building Fabric Estimator / Small Works Estimator
• Status: Permanent, PAYE - Paid Monthly
• Salary: Circa £50,000 dependant on experience
• Company Car - Electric - Vehicle charge card + company funded home charging point.

• Hours: Monday-Friday: 08:30am - 5:00pm / similar (some flexibility)

Requirements:

• Must have a strong understanding of building fabric disciplines / small works projects.
• Must have experiencing pricing projects between £1,000 - £10,000 in value.
• Must have a driving license with 9 points or less.
• Must have strong computer skills, using basic Microsoft programs and systems such as CAFM / projects software.
• Experience with ProNett or Simpro is a huge advantage but not essential.
