Job summary

University of Bath is seeking aBuilding Controls/Electrical Maintenance professional to install, maintain and repair BMS/automated controls across university facilities. You should hold an NVQ 3 in Electrical Engineering Maintenance and have demonstrable experience with IET 18th Edition and related safety standards.

The role requires collaboration with skilled operatives and contractors, with preferred qualifications in BMS/automated controls for Schneider Sigma, EcoStruxture and Tridium

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship NVQ 3 in Electrical Engineering Maintenance or related subject.
  • IET 18th Edition demonstrable post-training experience in maintenance, repair, installation and fitting of BMS/automated controls.
  • Experience working with skilled operatives and contractors.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, PUWER and Electricity at Work Regulations for electrical services.
  • Ideally a qualification in BMS/automated controls for Schneider Sigma, EcoStruxture and Tridium Niagara.

recognised City & Guilds or NVQ 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering Maintenance (or an appropriate engineering discipline or related subject) IET 18th Edition demonstrable post training experience in the maintenance, repair, installation and fitting of BMS/automated controls experience of working effectively with skilled operatives and contractors experience of safely working on a variety of installations, appliances and equipment practical knowledge of property related Health and Safety legislation applicable to electrical services (ie COSHH, PUWER Electricity at Work Regulations) Ideally you will also have a relevant qualification in BMS/automated controls related subject for Schneider Sigma, Eco Struxture and Tridium Niagra. Further information Hours will be worked Monday to Thursday 8.15am to 4.45pm and Friday 8.15am to 3:45pm. However, to suit operational requirements you may be requested to, or have the option to, work flexibly by agreement at any time between 7am and 7pm.
