Tameside Council is recruiting a Technical Support Officer to join the busy Technical Support Team. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality Building Control service, supporting registration, validation and processing of applications, and providing technical and administrative support across the service.

The post is read as a customer-facing, hybrid role based at Tameside One with the option to work from home and in our offices.

Qualifications

• Organised and analytical with excellent IT skills
• Flexible and proactive approach
• Experience in Building Control or Planning environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent, customer-focused Building Control service
• Register, validate and process building control applications
• Provide technical and administrative support across the service
• Support Planning, Policy, Enforcement and Land Charges as needed
