Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced Business/BTEC Tutor to provide 1:1 face-to-face tutoring to a 16-year-old learner in Lincoln.

Deliver 4 hours per week between 9:00am and 3:00pm on a Monday–Friday, for a one-year programme, with support for independent study and coursework. The candidate should have strong business knowledge and experience supporting SEMH learners with a calm, patient, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Strong Business/BTEC Business subject knowledge.
• Experience delivering BTEC or vocational Business.
• Experience teaching/tutoring GCSE, Level 2 and/or Level 3.
• Experience supporting learners with SEMH, autism, anxiety and/or EBSA.
• 1:1 tuition or Alternative Provision experience is desirable.
• A calm, supportive and adaptable approach.
• Strong safeguarding and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 face-to-face tuition in Business subjects.
• Support independent study and coursework.
• Deliver sessions 9:00am–3:00pm, four hours per week, Lincoln-based.

The role

• BTEC Business / Business Studies
• 1:1 face-to-face tuition

• Daytime delivery between 9:00am–3:00pm

• Lincoln-based
• Support with independent study and coursework

About the learner

The learner is academically able, has a strong interest in business and marketing, and is keen to continue their education.

They have experienced significant barriers to accessing mainstream education, including SEMH, autism, anxiety and EBSA. The successful tutor will therefore need to be calm, patient and consistent, with the ability to build trust and engagement.

We're looking for:
