Protocol Education Limited is recruiting a BSL Teaching Assistant to support deaf and hearing-impaired pupils in a specialist educational setting in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role is Full-Time during term-time, based on-site at the school, with safeguarding as a priority.

You will work closely with pupils to support communication, learning, and social development throughout the school day, promoting inclusion and independence and building positive relationships with learners.

Qualifications

• BSL qualification or strong signing experience.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patient and supportive approach.

Responsabilités

• Providing classroom support using BSL.
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assisting with lesson delivery and learning activities.
• Promoting inclusion and independence.
• Supporting communication between pupils and staff.
• Building positive relationships with learners.
