Job summary

UKCIL Ltd in Ramsgate is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a sociable 19-year-old son with Autism and Treacher Collins. The role includes personal care, tracheostomy and peg feeding support, and enabling community activities with calm, patient assistance.

The ideal candidate will have BSL, care experience, a full UK driving licence, and a compassionate approach. Flexible hours including weekends/evenings; DBS and references required; training provided.

Qualifications

• BSL trained (essential).
• Experienced in care (essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• A caring, patient and compassionate person.
• Confident supporting complex care needs.

Responsibilities

• Personal care for the young man.
• Tracheostomy care.
• Seizure awareness (under investigation).
• Peg feeding support.
• Medical awareness of complex health needs and interventions.
• Support with behaviours that may challenge.
• Community access and social activities.
• Help him enjoy activities he loves and encourage independence.
