Job summary

Aon plc in London is seeking a Broker to join the Counter Terrorism team within the Crisis Management practice of our Global Broking Centre. You will coordinate and contribute to the marketing and negotiation of Counter Terrorism business with Lloyd’s and Company Markets.

The role emphasizes client management, risk reviews, underwriting presentations, placement with insurers, and supporting market relationships to grow the portfolio while adhering to Aon UK risk management and compliance

Qualifications

• Proven international terrorism insurance/reinsurance experience.
• Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
• Proven experience in managing effective client relationships.

Aon is currently recruiting a Broker to join the Counter Terrorism team, which forms part of the wider Crisis Management practice within our Global Broking Centre.

In this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Counter Terrorism business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis.

What the day will look like

• Client management and broking in servicing for a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team
• Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance produced by our documentation team
• Placement with insurers, including electronic trading
• Contribute to the growth of the portfolio
• Support and lead tenders
• Proactively manage market relationships and support our broking strategy.
• Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with our policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of required training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

The International Terrorism team comprises of 10 Brokers with their own expertise and various levels of experience. The team serves a wide portfolio of clients emanating from territories within Latin and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Far East.
