Price Forbes is seeking a Senior Technician to join the London market team, providing essential technical support for open market placements and global facilities. The role emphasizes precision, timely submissions, and strong client interaction to maintain high service levels.

You will work closely with a dynamic, entrepreneurial team in a flexible hybrid London environment, dealing with documentation, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare market submissions and documentation (MRCs, endorsements).
• Maintain accurate files reflecting client transactions.
• Monitor renewal instructions and quotes; support timely invoicing.
• Deal with client, insurer and third-party inquiries professionally.
• Support producers/brokers in the division; perform ad-hoc projects.

We are seeking a Senior Technician to join our Political Violence and Terrorism team at Price Forbes - one of the most profitable teams in the business, operating at high margins while delivering exceptional service across a global portfolio. Our team thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and we are looking for a technical expert who can support both our open market placements and our facility business.

In this role, you will provide essential technical support across the London market, including open market placements, global facilities and Global XB. While knowledge of Political Violence and Terrorism risks is advantageous, the core focus is your technical understanding of placements and transactional execution. You’ll work alongside a highly motivated, entrepreneurial team that values collaboration, precision, and a strong work ethic. As we continue our growth, your technical expertise will be pivotal in supporting our operational excellence.

Principal Tasks

• Preparing market submissions and placing documentation including MRC’s and endorsements.
• Maintaining clear, accurate and comprehensive files reflecting the transactions undertaken on behalf of clients.
• Inviting and monitoring renewal instructions
• Logging of all quotes and enquiries
• Daily monitoring with NST/IBA team to monitor bad debt, cash and funding.
• Bordereaux monitoring for current binders and lineslips.
• Assisting with “know your client” due diligence procedures.
• Assisting with binding submissions via Whitespace
• Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor timeliness of the placement process to ensure Contract Certainty is achieved and timely invoicing is achieved.
• Assisting with production of taxation schedules for Global Programs.
• Generally providing support to the producers/brokers within the Division
• Carrying out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be required

Generic Knowledge Requirements

• Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the relevant aspects of the Law of Agency and the Law of Contract to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
• Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of insurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
• Good working knowledge of the UK regulatory requirements as they affect the business of the Terrorism Divison
• Awareness of legal and jurisdictional requirements in territorial limits worked on and maintenance of up to date knowledge of current market practices.

Specific Knowledge Requirements

• Knowledge of Price Forbes practices, procedures and service standards
• Knowledge and/or awareness of Price Forbes IT systems and processes
• Good working knowledge of London market practices.
• Understanding of MRC and endorsements.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Lloyd’s Crystal and Risk Locator tools
• Knowledge and understanding of electronic placing systems (PPL/Whitespace)
• Understanding of Binding Authority procedures and bordereaux management.
