Job summary

Gravity Media UK is seeking a Wiring Technician to install, maintain and deliver broadcast cable infrastructure across our Outside Broadcast fleet and fly-pack operations. Reporting to the Head of Technology – OB, you will support engineering teams to ensure facilities are built, maintained and operated to the highest standards for world‑class live productions.

This on‑site role is based in High Wycombe with a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday, contributing to major events while mentoring junior

Qualifications

Significant experience in broadcast wiring including audio, video, data and fibre systems.
Ability to read and interpret wiring schedules, drawings and schematics.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering standards.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate and test cabling across OB fleet and fly-pack systems.
Manufacture, modify and label broadcast cables and looms.
Support vehicle builds, refurbishments and system integrations.
Provide on-site wiring support for major events and temporary infra.
Identify cost-saving opportunities by refurbishing existing cabling and materials.
Assist with stock management of cable, connectors and consumables.
Ensure wiring work meets health, safety and company standards.
Develop and deliver practical training to junior technicians and apprentices.
