Job summary

Brum Radio is seeking a technically curious individual to help keep our broadcast studios and streaming setup running smoothly. This role focuses on the hands-on world of playout systems, audio routing, streaming encoders, and the many details that keep a station on-air.

You’ll troubleshoot PlayIt Live, audio interfaces, encoders and networks, and team up to improve workflows and studio reliability so shows stay live with top-notch audio quality.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills and technical curiosity.
• Some experience in a radio or broadcast studio environment (student, community or commercial).
• A grasp of audio signal flow, network basics and playout systems.
• Someone who enjoys problem-solving and isn’t scared to get under the hood.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain our broadcast studios and streaming setup.
• Troubleshoot playout software (PlayIt Live), audio interfaces, encoders and networks.
• Help us keep shows live and audio quality rock-solid.
• Work with the team to improve workflows and studio reliability.
