Job summary

AECOM in Bristol is seeking an Associate Engineer to lead our Water Utilities Team. You will apply your technical expertise on challenging projects for UK water clients, guiding a small team and collaborating with management across functions to deliver robust solutions.

The role offers hybrid working, opportunities to develop chartership, and exposure to bids and business development, with a focus on high standards and mentorship.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering subject (e.g. civil, electrical or mechanical).
• Extensive client-facing experience with UK water companies and ability to support BD activities.
• Proven track record in a consultancy or water company role delivering projects.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, supportive leadership style.
• Clear track record in mentoring and developing team members.
• Experience undertaking quality assurance reviews of deliverables.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE, CIWEM or similar.
