Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Bridgwater is seeking Stores Operatives to handle warehouse, stock control and customer service tasks. The role starts with a four-week training period during normal working hours, after which you will move to fixed or rotating shifts.

Initial days shift 09:00–16:00 at £13 per hour, with later shifts including weekends and nights at £15.50 per hour. You will work with stock records, inventory checks and basic part requests while following health and safety

Qualifications

• Training provided with a 4-week period during normal hours.
• Shifts include fixed or rotating patterns after training.
• Experience in stock control and warehouse duties is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serving engineers at the stores counter and recording stock from the inventory system.
• Carrying out regular stock counts and checking inventory levels.
• Responding to urgent requests for engineering spare parts.
• Following procedures when contacting suppliers or helplines for emergency parts.
• General warehouse duties including sorting, cleaning and keeping the stores area organised.
• Moving stock safely and carrying out manual handling.
• Ensuring visitors sign in and stock movements are recorded.
• Following site security, health & safety and company procedures.
• Using a computerised inventory system.
