Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking Stores Operatives for a client based in Bridgwater. The role combines warehouse, stock control and customer service tasks with full training and a choice of fixed or rotating shifts.

Training lasts four weeks during normal hours, after which shifts include days, weekends and nights. The role offers progression potential and weekly pay.

• Perform general warehouse duties and keep the stores area organised.
• Move stock safely and perform manual handling.
• Ensure visitors sign in and stock movements are recorded.
• Follow site health & safety and company procedures.
• Use a computerised inventory system.

Stores Operatives required for our client based in Bridgwater

Salary:

GBP13.00 - GBP15.50 per hour

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a stable role with a mixture of warehouse, stock control and customer service responsibilities. Full training will be provided, including a 4-week training period during normal working hours. Following training, candidates will move onto either a fixed or rotating shift pattern.

Pay rate:

Initial training period on days 09:00-16:00 £13ph

After a successful training period, various shifts including weekends and nights £15.50ph

Shifts:

• 24/7 stores coverage.
• Fixed or rotating shift pattern following training.

Duties

• Serving engineers at the stores counter and accurately recording stock taken from the inventory system.
• Carrying out regular stock counts and checking inventory levels.
• Responding to occasional urgent requests for engineering spare parts.
• Following clear procedures when contacting 24/7 suppliers or helplines for emergency parts.
• General warehouse duties including sorting, cleaning and keeping the stores area organised.
• Moving stock safely and carrying out manual handling.
• Ensuring all visitors sign in and stock movements are accurately recorded.
• Following site security, health & safety and company procedures.
• Using a computerised inventory system.
