Job summary

Hampshire County Council's Structures Design Team is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead design and project management for bridge maintenance, strengthening and replacement schemes. You will oversee inspection and assessment of bridges and other highway structures, contributing to high-profile schemes and multi-million-pound works.

You should have extensive post-graduate experience, ideally be a chartered civil/structural engineer, and be capable of mentoring junior staff while applying

Qualifications

• Extensive post-graduate experience in design and construction of bridges and highway structures.
• Chartered civil or structural engineer preferred.
• Experience mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, construction methods and contract procedures.

Responsibilities

• Project management and design of a wide variety of bridge maintenance, strengthening and replacement schemes.
