Job summary

Expanded Structures, part of Laing O''Rourke, is recruiting a permanent Commercial Manager for a bridge project in East Suffolk. The location field identifies Leiston and the division specialises in reinforced-concrete substructures and frames, with responsibility for a defined project section.

The manager will oversee financial and contractual performance from pre-construction through completion, including monthly expenditure reports, contract reviews and business planning information, and

Qualifications

• Degree or higher qualification in quantity surveying, civil engineering or commercial management.
• NeC knowledge and experience with main contract forms are essential.
• Direct-delivery experience in infrastructure or civil engineering projects is required.
• Experience across the project lifecycle and managing subcontract packages, changes and commercial performance is needed.
• RICS membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly expenditure reports.
• Conduct contract reviews and contribute to business planning information.
• Oversee subcontract procurement activities.
• Manage account administration and claims.
• Manage change and commercial risk; advise delivery colleagues and escalate issues when needed.
• Support development of commercial staff and ensure contract compliance.
