Job summary

V.Group is seeking an experienced 3rd Officer to join the AZAMARA JOURNEY cruise vessel. The role covers bridge watch duties, vessel safety, navigation planning, and strict adherence to STCW and company regulations. Contract length is 4 months +/- 1 with embarkation ASAP, aboard a cruise ship.

The candidate must hold valid STCW95 and CoC A-II/1, possess strong communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work in a multicultural environment. A valid C1D visa is required.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification
• Valid CoC A-II/1
• Appropriate additional certifications per regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe navigational watch on the bridge at sea, in port and at anchor.
• Lead and support the watch team and ensure compliance with Master’s instructions.
• Oversee navigation equipment, charts, and safety devices; log watches and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with ISPS, SOLAS, and STCW regulations and Company policies.
• Coordinate with Safety Officer and Navigation Officer for efficient bridge operations.
