Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join their Yorkshire & Humber team. This position offers a chance to work on significant infrastructure projects, with opportunities for career growth and training. Qualifications

• Experience using structural analysis software.
• Progressing toward IEng/CEng qualifications.
• Understanding of DMRB and Eurocodes.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and UK standards relevant to bridges and highways.
• Experience with modelling packages (LUSAS, MIDAS) and digital inspection tools.
• Progressing toward IEng/CEng and a Civil/Structuralengineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and prepare calculations.
• Provide exposure to bridge or highway structures.
• Contribute to technical reports.
• Apply understanding of DMRB, Eurocodes and British Standards in deliverables.

• Experience undertaking structural analysis and preparing calculations with support from senior staff.
• Understanding of DMRB, Eurocodes and/or relevant British Standards.
• Experience preparing or contributing to technical reports.
• Familiarity with producing drawings, specifications, BoQs or PCI packs.
• Awareness of CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities.
• Experience using structural analysis software.
• HNC/HND/BEng/BSc/MEng or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Progressing toward IEng/CEng.
• Experience with AutoCAD, BIM or digital inspection tools.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience with modelling packages (e.g LUSAS, MIDAS).
