Job summary

Pell Frischmann is seeking a graduate to support design and assessment of bridges and civil structures in Luton. The role involves producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports while collaborating with engineers.

Qualifications

Location and Eligibility

This role is based in our Luton office. A full UK driving licence is essential. You must have full UK right to work; we are unable to sponsor due to thresholds required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and assessment of bridges and civil structures across highways, rail and major infrastructure projects.
• Assist in producing calculations, drawings, BIM models and technical reports.
• Undertake site inspections and surveys with senior guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians and project managers to deliver high‑quality design solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, standards and digital design practices.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Working toward IEng/CEng or membership of ICE/IStructE.

Experience: Recent graduate exposure to bridge or structural engineering through placements, graduate roles and academic projects. Experience with UK standards (DMRB, Eurocodes) or involvement in design consultancy work.

Skills: Basic structural analysis knowledge; proficiency in CAD/BIM tools; strong communication and teamwork. Familiarity with software such as MIDAS, LUSAS or similar FE packages.
