Role Overview

We are recruiting a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our expanding Luton or Stansted offices, supporting our growing workload across a wide range of complex bridge and civil structure projects. You’ll work with clients across highways, rail, developers, and major infrastructure partners. This role also supports projects in the Oxford area, requiring monthly travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead elements of design and assessment projects.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
• Produce and review calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support planning, scoping, and project management activities.
• Participate in inspections, assessments, and site work.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Essential: Civil/Structural Engineering degree; working toward chartership.
• Preferred: Chartered Engineer (ICE/IStructE).
• Experience: Significant post‑study experience in bridge design/assessment within consultancy; experience leading small teams or packages of work.
• Skills: Strong technical capability, understanding of DMRB/Eurocodes, communication skills; advanced FE modelling and BIM integration experience.
