Job summary

Kier Group plc, operating through Kier Design, is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join the Structures Team. You will contribute to delivering a range of infrastructure projects including major highways frameworks and maintenance schemes.

You will produce designs, calculations and reports, support Lead Engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client briefs and standards.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree (or HNC/HND equivalent).
• Working towards IEng or CEng status is acceptable.

Job description

As a Bridge Engineer within our Structures Team at Kier Design, you'll play a key role in delivering a wide range of high-profile infrastructure projects. These include National Highways Major Projects, National Highways SDF, TfL frameworks, Northamptonshire schemes, and South Wales Trunk Road Agency (SWTRA) contracts, among others.

• Producing technical designs, calculations, drawings and reports
• Supporting Lead Engineers on project delivery
• Assisting with maintenance and new-build structures schemes
• Ensuring designs meet client briefs, standards and programme requirements
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or HNC/HND equivalent)?

• Working towards or achieved IEng / CEng (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)?
• Experienced in the inspection, assessment or design of highways structures?
• Familiar with Eurocodes and UK standards (DMRB, MCHW)?
• A proactive team player with strong technical and analytical skills?
