Job description

A vacancy has come available with a National Multi-Disciplinary's Basingstoke office for a Bridge Engineer. In this role you will be involved in the Design, Assessment and Inspection of Rail & Footbridge's. The main bulk of the teams work is Network Rail major projects and repair/strengthening schemes. You will also gain experience of Rail Infrastructure and Building Structures whilst working in this team. They are ideally looking for someone with between 2 - 5 years Bridge Engineering experience, you will be able to show capabilities in Finite Element Analysis using LUSAS, Inspections and Detailed Bridge design using MIDAS/REVIT.

Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

1. Design of civil and structural schemes
2. Experiences in design of Bridges is preferrable.
3. Experiences in working with Network Rail will be an advantage.
4. Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
5. Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports
6. Undertaking feasibility / option studies
7. Preparation of project programmes

Bridge Engineer Requirements

1. Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree BEng, MEng or MSc.
2. Engineer with +2 years post graduation.
3. Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
4. Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
