Job summary

Kier Design is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Structures & Geotechnical team in Birmingham. You will produce technical designs, calculations, drawings and reports, supporting Lead Engineers on diverse highways projects.

You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (or HNC/HND), with progression toward IEng/CEng and experience in highway structures design or assessment.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering is required.
• Working towards or achieved IEng/CEng status is preferred.
• Experience in inspection, assessment or design of highways structures is expected.
• Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW and CDM regulations is expected.
• Experience in a consultancy environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Producing technical designs, calculations, drawings and reports.
• Supporting Lead Engineers on project delivery.
• Assisting with maintenance and new-build structures schemes.
• Ensuring designs meet client briefs, standards and programme requirements.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
