Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Brickwork Tutor (Trainee or Qualified) for our Hemel Hempstead centre. You will deliver Level 2 Brickwork in a classroom setting and guide learners towards progression while keeping sessions engaging.

Candidates must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying, have training delivery experience, be IT literate, and be willing to work toward PTLLS/AET with employer funding.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying.
• Experience delivering vocational or on-the-job training.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET – fully funded by employer.
• Solid occupational competency in Bricklaying.
• IT literate and comfortable delivering sessions to groups.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards Level 2 Bricklaying in a classroom setting.
• Ensure sessions are engaging and develop learners' skills and behaviours.
• Monitor attendance and progress through regular assessments.
• Provide guidance on progression and decision making.
• Embed Maths and English into sessions and adapt delivery to learners' needs.

Job Title: Brickwork Tutor (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: Hemel Hempstead – Centre based

Salary: up to £35,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria

• Must hold your own Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying.
• Experience of delivering vocational training, or on-the-job training to colleagues/Apprentices.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer.
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Bricklaying.
• Ideally have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Must be IT Literate.

Duties include

• Teach/assess learners working towards a Level 2 vocational qualification in Bricklaying within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
