Job summary

Brooksby College is seeking a Brickwork Lecturer to deliver across the department’s provision. You may be currently working in construction and seeking your first teaching role. You will bring passion for innovation and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.

You will be part of the Construction team responsible for delivery and development of brickwork courses, planning and using a range of teaching techniques to support learners.

Qualifications

• Possess or be willing to work towards a teaching and assessing qualification.
• Experience to the minimum industry standards required for teaching, with recent experience in brickwork.
• Up to date knowledge of brickwork/vocational area.
• Work based learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Write schemes of work, lesson and review plans.
• To manage the formal assessment process to include maintenance of all assessment records.
• Support learners through their programme and the specific qualification aims within.
• To devise and implement a learning and assessment plan for each individual learner.
• To undertake tutorial and pastoral roles with learners.

Education

Teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent)
