Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a bricklaying lecturer for a part-time, long-term temporary assignment at a Further Education College. The role runs until at least Christmas, with potential to extend.

You will deliver practical bricklaying sessions to post-16 learners, with split shifts across the week, and support students in developing practical skills while maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment. Industry experience and teaching or mentoring experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in bricklaying with practical skills.
• Experience of teaching, training or mentoring bricklaying.
• Strong communication and ability to motivate post-16 learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support practical bricklaying sessions to post-16 learners.
• Support students in developing practical bricklaying skills and construction knowledge.
• Demonstrate bricklaying techniques and safe working practices.
• Provide guidance and support to learners of varying abilities.
• Maintain a safe, organised workshop environment.
• Work split shifts across the week to meet timetable requirements.
