Job summary

Momentum Training in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Bricklaying Tutor for a full-time, permanent role based in the office. The tutor will deliver practical and theoretical bricklaying training to help learners progress into construction employment.

Applicants should have significant bricklaying experience and a recognised teaching qualification, with a focus on health and safety and high teaching standards.

Qualifications

• Significant practical experience as a bricklayer in the construction industry.
• Strong communication and learner engagement skills.
• Ability to deliver practical and theory-based bricklaying training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based bricklaying sessions.
• Demonstrate bricklaying techniques, tools and safe practices.
• Teach setting out, brick/block laying, bonding and interpreting drawings.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback toward qualifications.
• Maintain learner records and ensure workshops are safe and well-equipped.
• Support learners to develop workplace behaviours and employment prospects.
