Job summary

Budweiser Brewing Group in Samlesbury is seeking a Brewing Area Owner – Brewing Department to join our production team. You will support the department with efficient fault finding, upskilling, and equipment reliability improvements to maximise uptime.

We require strong leadership, hands-on management, and a proven track record in manufacturing. You will drive improvements, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards across the operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum A-level education; willing to study for the IBD Diploma in Brewing.
• Experience managing teams to deliver deadlines and KPIs.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing, production, or supervisory environment.
• Ability to manage budgets and lead organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of brewing processes, yeast management and fermentation cycles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement while enforcing SOPs.
• Set and monitor departmental KPIs with regular reporting.
• Lead, develop, coach, and motivate the team including performance reviews.
• Coordinate effective communication and shift handovers across the department.
• Maintain workforce flexibility and optimise staffing to meet business needs.
• Deliver production plans meeting volume, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S, HACCP, and company standards; address safety concerns promptly.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support as required.
