St Austell Brewery Ltd is seeking a Packaging Operative to join our Bottling, Cask and Kegging lines at Saint Austell. You will work on modern automated lines, on 40-hour weeks, with shift patterns including early, late, and occasional nights, on a rotating schedule.

The role emphasizes strict SOPs, health and safety, and quality standards; you will troubleshoot line stoppages, change formats, and collaborate with Brewing, Engineering and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Previous production/manufacturing line experience.
• Experience with formal quality standards (BRC, ISO, SALSA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of process-driven working and health & safety.
• Ability to identify problems on the line and respond logically.
• Confidence communicating within a small team.
• Experience operating and changing formats on automated packaging equipment.
• Fork Lift Truck licence (training available).
• Food safety qualifications (in-house training available).

Responsibilities

• Operate automated bottling and packaging lines to high quality standards.
• Adhere to SOPs and health & safety guidelines.
• Respond to line stoppages and quality issues on the line.
• Carry out format and product changeovers.
• Collaborate with Brewing, Engineering, Quality and Distribution teams.
