Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Breast Surgery Supervisor to lead the Breast Service Reception Team and coordinate the partial booking service for radiology procedures. You will ensure a welcoming, professional reception and support efficient patient flow through their care pathway.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and organisational skills, with experience in busy reception environments andknowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 in office administration or equivalent.
• Experience supervising and organising a team.
• Experience with medical terminology and busy reception environments.

Responsibilities

• Arrange radiological procedures such as mammograms, ultrasounds, guidewires, stereo biopsies and collate relevant x-ray films.
• Keep the Guidewire notice board up to date and update Radiologists board.
• Book private patient procedures, notify patients of appointments, collate prior x-rays.
• Ensure receipt of insurance details on arrival and submit forms to Finance with a copy to Radiologist.
• Coordinate staff rotas and arrange clerical/reception cover during leave or sickness; ensure monthly salary returns are completed on time.
• Address staff issues promptly and participate in recruitment and selection when required.
• Maintain information relating to procedures, reports and confidential documentation.
• Help ensure local targets are met.
