Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Screening Data Assistant to support the Breast Screening Service. You will collect data from multiple sources, ensure consistent NBSS entries, and assist with mandatory KC62 and BASO reporting.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to work within a busy team in the Screening Office. Training and support are provided as part of the NHS data management workflow.

Qualifications

• Good Standard of Education
• IT skills equivalent to NVQ2 or relevant experience with Microsoft Word, Excel
• Experience in an administrative role and using advanced IT applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Knowledge of complex booking and medical systems; Medical/Audio Typing
• Experience of working in the NHS

Responsibilities

• Data Entry to NBSS and submission of mandatory reports (KC62, BASO) within deadlines
• Support with data coordination and ensure quality/validity of NBSS data and reports
• Maintain MDT treatment decision records on NBSS in a timely manner
• Participate in auditing of data assistants' work and assist with service development
• Produce lists, reports and maintain NBSS records; assist with interval cancer data entry
