Job summary

Xander Hendrix Healthcare in County Londonderry invites a Consultant Radiologist with a Special Interest in Breast Radiology to join a funded Breast Unit serving a catchment of over 52,000. The role encompasses symptomatic breast clinics, screening, ultrasound, MRI, CESM, MDTs, and teaching within a multidisciplinary team.

The post includes an on-call component and SPA time, with GMC registration required and FRCR desirable.

Qualifications

• GMC Registration with current Licence to Practise.
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology or eligible within 6 months.
• Broad competence across general radiology modalities (plain film, ultrasound, CT, MRI).
• Breast imaging subspecialty competence to work within a Breast MDT.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in symptomatic breast clinics and MDT meetings.
• Perform and interpret breast ultrasound, biopsies, and localisations.
• Report breast MRI and CESM, with potential involvement in MRI-guided biopsies.
• Support general radiology workloads including CT, MRI, ultrasound and plain films.
• Participate in Radiologist of the Day duties and on-call rota.
• Contribute to teaching, auditing, and research activities.
