Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Breast Radiologist to join the busy Breast Imaging Unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital. You will provide the full range of breast radiology services, participate in MDTs, and contribute to audit, teaching, and clinical governance within a large, renowned team.

The post supports a vibrant breast unit treating around 700 new breast cancers yearly, with extensive screening and advanced imaging services, including MRI and ultrasound, in

Qualifications

GMC registration with a licence to practise.
Specialist register entry (CCT within 6 months), CESR or European Community Rights.
Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, or equivalent.
Breast subspecialty experience.
Management course or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in local breast screening programme and symptomatic breast service MDTs.
Support tissue acquisition for histopathology and contribute to disease staging.
Contribute to audit, research and teaching within the breast unit.
Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
