The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Breast Assessment Team Leader to provide leadership and co-ordination of the Breast Assessment Clinics administration and clerical functions across Leicester's hospital sites.
You will oversee the Assessment Admin Team, ensure data accuracy for Clinical Governance and audit, and support patients while working closely with the Administration Manager and Deputy Administration Manager.

Base: You may be required to work in other designated locations of the Trust as well as your primary base. In particular, flexibility is required across the three main hospital sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital). If your initial location is one of these sites excess travel reimbursement would not apply for a permanent or temporary change of base.
Reports to: Administration Manager/Deputy
Accountable to: General Manager
Provide effective management, administration and co-ordination of all clerical procedures concerning Breast Assessment Clinics in accordance with National Quality Assurance Guidelines
Identify potential breaches and solutions of National Quality Assurance targets in waiting times to assessment to the Administration Manager and the Screening Director
Ensure data accuracy to support Clinical Governance and Audit both locally and nationally.
Attendance and participation at Breast MDTs. Collation of results and notes in preparation for client's attending Breast Screening Results Clinics.
Provide support and guidance to patients and others making contact with the service.
Support both the Administration Manager and the Deputy Administration Manager in the management and leadership of the Breast Care Centre Administration & Clerical (A&C) team.
To oversee the Assessment Admin Team and ensure delivery of assessments and services.
To assist as trainer and mentor for clerical staff.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust:
Provide effective management, administration and co-ordination of all clerical procedures concerning Breast Assessment Clinics in accordance with National Quality Assurance Guidelines. Ensuring Clinic Co-ordinators are fully briefed and prepared for all Breast Screening Assessment Clinics.
Oversee and lead the Assessment team ensuring all staff are fully trained and competent to prepare and sit the clinics.
Attendance and participation at Breast MDTs. Collation of results and notes in preparation for clients attending Breast Screening Results Clinics.
Ensure that all clinical correspondence meets NHSBSP quality and performance targets.
To be responsible for clinical reports and discharge letters prioritising the workload according to agreed protocols.
To provide correct inputting and retrieval of patient information using Infoflex and observing the 62 Cancer pathway.
To ensure that clinical correspondence to GPs recording the outcome of patients attendance meets the 24 hour performance target.
Personal capacity to organise and maintain data collection and collation from widespread multidisciplinary team.
Provide medical records required by Consultants for follow-up using the Track it system.
