Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a Breakfast Supervisor for Cross Hands to supervise pupils on arrival and during service, and assist with refreshments and dining room duties. The role is 3 hours 45 minutes per week, 45 minutes per day, Monday to Friday before 9am, term-time only (38 weeks).

Staff are paid via an annualised scheme to distribute pay over 52 weeks. A DBS check is required. Basic Welsh language capability is a plus. Closing date: 21/10/2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising children and building positive relationships with adults and pupils.
• Knowledge of basic food safety; training provided if needed.
• Good communication and people skills; ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils on arrival and during service.
• Assist with serving refreshments and dining room duties (clearing/wiping tables).
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and clean dining environment.
• Support staff during the breakfast service and school day routines.
