Job summary

The Coaching Inn Group is seeking a Breakfast Supervisor for Moorland Hotel – Haytor. This role covers early shifts from 7am to 3pm/4pm, five days a week with Saturdays and Sundays treated as prime shifts.

You’ll oversee the breakfast service, motivate the team and ensure high standards of hospitality, food quality and cleanliness. You’ll welcome guests warmly, coordinate with the kitchen, and maintain a smooth, efficient service while upholding health and safety standards and supporting a

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, restaurant or hotel environment.
• Experience supervising or leading a team, or the ambition to take the next step in your hospitality career.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• A team-focused approach.
• An understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
• The flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the breakfast team and leading by example throughout service.
• Welcoming guests with a warm, friendly and professional approach.
• Ensuring breakfast service runs smoothly, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
• Supporting with food preparation, presentation and replenishment.
• Making sure tables, service areas and the restaurant are kept clean, tidy and welcoming.
• Monitoring food levels and communicating with the kitchen team to ensure guests have everything they need.
• Handling guest requests and resolving any issues quickly and professionally.
• Supporting with opening and closing procedures.
• Ensuring food hygiene, health & safety and company standards are followed at all times.
• Training and supporting new team members.
