KE Hotels in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead a team in our brand new kitchen, delivering outstanding service and guest experiences from the moment breakfast starts. You will collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager and Senior Breakfast Chef, follow development specs, and uphold high standards while building a positive, motivated kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy efficient kitchen
• Be a great leader and work well as a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Keen eye for attention to detail
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic and good team player
• Be able to commute for early shifts starting at 5.30am

Responsibilities

• Follow specs created by our development team to ensure strict consistency.
• Assist the Senior Breakfast Chef in all areas of service and kitchen duties.
• Ensure all kitchen procedures are followed and all standards are upheld.
• Ensure strict and rigid cleaning schedule.
• Run a fast paced breakfast service.
• Have a good relationship with all staff within the hotel and restaurant.
• Lead service working alone and as part of a team.
• Complete day to day kitchen duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, prep, deliveries etc.
• Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and Senior Breakfast Chef in all aspects of the kitchen and wider hotel.
• To be an ambassador for the hotel/ hospitality industry and the IHG hotel brand.
