Job summary

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council is seeking a Breakfast Club Kitchen Assistant to support healthy breakfasts at Rhydyfro Primary School and other hosts during term time. Permanent, part-time role (3.75 hours per week), Monday to Friday 08:00–08:45, within the school catering team and with safeguarding obligations.

You will assist with food preparation and service, follow schedules, and uphold Food and Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Assist in the preparation and serving of healthy breakfasts.
• Work in accordance with schedules and Food and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Be part of the catering team within the school.
• Safeguarding of children; DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering and preparation of breakfast.

As part of the Welsh Assembly Government's commitment to providing free, healthy breakfasts to children of primary school age we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist in the preparation and serving of healthy breakfasts and the supervision of pupils at various schools throughout the County Borough.

Duties and expectations:

• Work as part of the catering team within the school.
• Be responsible for the ordering and preparation of food and service of breakfast.
• Able to work in accordance with agreed schedules, comply with Food and Health and Safety Regulations and work to a high standard.
